Season DVD For Wii?

edited August 2010 in Tales of Monkey Island
Sorry to make a new thread, but any search omitted the word wii since it was too short, or too common...

My question is:
Will the Season DVD be available to purchase for wii owners?

I've played the demo on PC, and me and a friend played the first part and had a real good time on the PC.

I'd love to see this as a Wii Disc, since the wii's internal memory isn't big enough to hold all episodes.

And I'd hate to pay for all episodes just to delete them after playing once...

Sorry, there is no Wii disc and there are no plans to make one. Here's my advice, DON'T GET THE WIIWARE VERSION! The music is in low quality (MIDI), the voices are compressed to the point that some lines are missing, in one very long scene in episode 5 Guybrush is just a hook, it's $15 more expensive, and on top of all that, there's LAG! Don't go down the terrible path I took, get the PC Version. You'll be much happier, and you'll get a disc too!

If you're planning on getting the WiiWare version (as the likelihood of a Wii disc is pretty low), there is always the option of storing the games on a SD card (the internal memory of my Wii would have been filled many times over if I didn't have a SD card), from which you can launch the game directly.
However, you won't see me disagree with Blooglspash: the PC (or Mac) version is the way to go if you want the best experience (and a DVD to boot).

If TT released a physical wii port of TMI without the lag or compression, I'd certainly pick it up. Anything to support Telltale and Monkey Island. The controls were actually very nice on Wii. But yeah, as these guys say, the WiiWare version as it is does not do the series justice AT ALL. I watched a WiiWare playthrough of TMI on livestream recently and was shocked at how compressed and occasionally very VERY laggy it was. It completely spoils the long cutscene before the end part of Chapter 5. The PC version is cheaper and will run a lot better.
