Purchasing Sam & Max Season 2 DVD with Adventure Bundle

As the Adventure Bundle Terms of Sale state I should be able to purchase the Sam & Max Season 2 DVD now that Sam & Max is unlocked. How would I go about doing this, as my order number for the Adventure Bundle comes up as invalid when I try to use it to get the free DVD?

Its not coming up for me in my shopping cart as $0, wanted to grab the disc along with my disc version for Tales of Monkey Island (hoping it would save a bit on postage since im so cheap)

    Good morning!

If you could do the same thing for me, cheers!

Heya! Yeah, same for me, thanks! I bought the bundle and now the DVD's not available.
    :)

Same problem here. When I try to enter the order code of the bundle in order to allow the S&M2 DVD, I get an "invalid number" message.

Same problem with me. Dunno how to get the DVD. Hoping to buy on Talk Like a Pirate Day itself, for teh lulz.

ARRDIT: Aye, I be gettin' th' jitters, anticipatorin' this here...er, legitimate-wise acquisition of me fair booty. If'n it be t'ward helpin' this all along, here be me "support issue" call number, if personal negotiations be in orderrr: [issue-35575]

Do try gettin' yer rudders workin', that I may make off with me treasurrres 'fore this next sundown, lest the Monkeys of that blasted Island bolster their ranks!

Hi guys - sorry about that. I need to set up DVD redemption for folks who bought the Adventure Bundle - slipped past me in the rush to get the bundle out the door. I'll take care of this tomorrow morning for y'all.

Thanks! I bought the Monkey Island tales and The Great Adventure Bundle today! It's been awhile since i a bought a pc game with having a ps3 but I am excited due to the sentimental and nostalgic value of these amazing games! Since I have a limited amount of internet bandwidth where I live I would like to get any of the possible dvd's also.

Can they be shipped in one package to save on shipping? Once you get it taken care of tomorrow, could you post instructions and/or a link to get the dvd redemption?

    Thanks for you time!

p.s. You have instantly earned my respect for supporting the good causes with The Great Adventure Bundle!

    Umm... any updates ?

I'm interested in ordering the DVD set as well, please. I'm looking forward to word from Telltale (Rich C?) that the Great Adventure Bundle order # works to order the Season 2 Sam and Max DVD. It still does not.
  • edited September 2010
Awesome, I pop back on to see the Season 2 DVD in my cart...but with everything else gone. It's "all good", though, since the Deluxe Edition still adds up as $14.95.

Still showing up at full price for me, the #s (Adventure bundle serial and even tried order #) still give me "invalid number" I'm starting to get suspicious that TTG is just going to "sweep this under the rug" since so few of us are complaining...

Same, I am still getting the invalid number, when I use the Adventure Bundle order#. Please update us on what the progress is on this?

According to marketing yes. In reality, (due to an oversight in coding in the #s) not right now and possibly not ever.

The only sure way to get the DVD is to buy the full season from TTG AS THE SEASON - afaik buying each episode individually will not get you the DVD due again to coding (though this might have been fixed, don't know - I got the full season bundle on S+M S3)

'Possibly not ever' is totally false!

It is something that's being worked on (it's not just about flipping a switch and having it work) so everyone that has ordered the GAB and also wants the DVD will be able to do so. Just give it a bit.

That said, thank you all for your patience.

note the word "possibly" I made sure not to use an absolute term. (we all know saying "never" will force the universe to chance it's very nature if necessary to make our "impossible" into "it happened" ;))

Also, in my defense, you staff have a much lesser presence now than in the beginning due to the company growing and I've seen a lot of people posting that support is slipping so it seems to me that it's a very real possibility (sad as it is) that TTG is entering a "we're here to make money" mentality that most big companies have...

No, it's not flipping a switch, it's adding a few lines of code to the page to match the algorithms for the adventure bundle's number just like you use for buying the whole season, change a few functions, add another variable (likely using CASE so it's easier), and copy and paste some code. Not simple but not overly complicated considering the system is already in place for the season bundles and just needs to be tweaked.

I contacted support at telltalegames, provided my order number, and asked nicely for the Season 2 DVD to be added to my cart. Bonnie got back to me within a couple days and added it to my shopping cart. My order is now paid for and will be shipping soon :)

    Thanks Bonnie!

Just adding the Adventure Bundle to the Sam & Max season 2 check is proving more difficult than originally thought - some of this legacy code just isn't playing nice when we add some additional checks to it. So, in the interest of not keeping you guys waiting too long, we've sent out coupon codes to everyone who bought the Adventure Bundle (and if you haven't gotten yours yet, just hang on a bit - some of the emails are still in the queue) to redeem for a free DVD.

Ah, the essence of all programming.

I think you might be wrong about that:

I've heard from quite a few of you wondering how one gets their season discs with the purchase of this S&M bundle. [...] Unfortunately, our systems have a hard time recognizing the purchase of a season with bundle purchases like this S&M one. [...] I will need to put the discs in your shopping cart

Seems to me that they have to handle them manually as well.

Haven't received that Email yet. Can't you just add the game to my shopping cart like you did for the TS ?
It's almost one weeke since I've made my first post in here and still can't get it :(

Not to sound like a whiner, but I've not the email either =/

    Likewise.

I look at it this way personally - I bought the bundle for it's games, I didn't even know S+M S2 was going to be included. While I'd *love* to get the DVD, if I don't, that's just how the cookie crumbles. It's getting to the point I'm tired of trolling for it.

Yeah. It's not like I'm insanely desperate for it, it's just I'd like to order it with S1 and 3 and TOMI dvd's. Preferably before the TOMI deluxe edition goes out of stock if it hasn't already =/

I think the adventure bundle was great value, especially as I needed Sam and Max S2 as I already had S1 and S3 was on sale separately. I don't want to help Telltale think the bundle was more effort than it was worth, it's just I'd be disappointed if the TOMI deluxe sells out while I wait for a code so I combine all the postage to the UK. Which I think it already might have because it says back ordered when in the basket =S

So I've still not received any email from telltale. Things must have changed in the background though, as it displays now $0.00 when I input the order number of the Adventure Pack on the S2 DVD Page. But when I add it to the cart, it still shows as $29.95 :(

Looks like they're halfway there. Good to see some progress on this.
(And while I'm already posting: still no mail here, but the fact that the order number now "works" is probably a sign that they abandoned the remaining mails and instead fix the order-number-input box, which is cool too).

That's how I interpret Rich C's post as well:

I haven't received a coupon yet though, but that might be because I already had S&M2. If I'm not mistaken, Tales and S&M3 are the only DVDs that works with Mac, but I'm not sure, since there doesn't seem to be system requirements listed in the store on any of Telltale's older games.

ok... then... my coupon code never arrived...

it looks like they don't care too much about the customers who bought this bundle. it's been 12 days now since my first post in here and over 1 week since Rich C promised to send us those emails with the coupon codes - and still nada.

Ugh, I'm considering to just forget about the DVDs and just order nothing instead of the two DVDs + some Sam and Max merchandise :(

Sorry, guys - I've been on vacation after we sent the email out the other week with redemption codes. Our queue reported all the emails as going out to AB purchasers, but it seems like not everyone received it. We're going to try and resend out the codes today. Sorry about the slip-up and thanks for the patience!
