Chapter one, The old scroll

Ok now I'e done the scroll on the alter and the flowers on the well, i've used the weather vain also, But for whatever reason when i go down the path of the bee noises I get sent back to the alter and have to start all over again, I've been stuck on this dang puzzle for two days now & don't know if its a glitch or if im doing something wrong. please help me

    When you get to that circle with the animals for the date and time, did you walk on it in a circle?
