I dont get all of this, but it was confirmed that the original voice of the heavy is in the game, he just isnt yelling because he is not caught up in the heat of battle.

It's the same voice actor. He, like most of the TF2 voice actors, forgot the voice between the original recordings and the new ones (Engineer is a prime example)

It's been confirmed multiple times now Heavy is being voiced by Gary Schwartz, the same person who voices him in TF2. He sounds different because...

    1. It's difficult for voice actors to main consistency over the years. You might have noticed the Engineer's new lines added with the Engineer Update have a deeper inflection than his older ones.

    2. The Heavy isn't screaming, as he almost always does.

He is right that it does sound different though. In Team Fortress, they alter the voice actor's voice to make it sound deeper. In the trailer it sounds like they didn't do that.

Here is a line from the trailer with the pitch changed: http://tindeck.com/listen/ebuo

I really hope Telltale makes it sound correct in the game.

He kinda sounds like he does from the original "Meet the Heavy" video, before TF2 officially came out.

This reminds me. The Heavy needs more lines for domination/revenge the classes started to get with the scout update. He (+Medic) need witty slander to say when killing cowards.

yeah heard there is a problem with the medic's voice actor that he has not been able to get a hold of to do meet the medic let alone in game voices bad times.

This is the only time that the Heavy's voice sounds so light and articulate though. Either this video was done very early in the process, or his lines were reworked before the game came out. When you compare it to recently recorded lines from new Team Fortress 2 updates, the Heavy's voice sounds deeper and gravelly and he's speaks with simple words, which makes him funny.

In the game it really depends on what he's saying and the mood of the line. Maybe the two lines in the trailer weren't stellar examples of him having a lower pitched voice, but listening to that youtube video and actually playing Poker Night, back to back, it sounds entirely like the same character. I don't think people will have concerns when hearing the final voice.

Ah, now that sounds more like how Heavy does in TF2! Any plans to do this Telltale?

Here's my explanation: the fact that he's outside the heat of battle.

Because English isn't his first language, when he's out on the battlefield, he has too many things to think about and doesn't focus on his language. As a result, he speaks a very broken form of English.

He's not screaming because he's not in the heat of the battle and is able to calm down.

Speaking of TF2, we're apparently supposed to bug you about creating a real MOTD for the TellTale server. :)

By George, he's got it! All you need to do is deepen his voice and it's spot-on.
