"CelebrityPoker.exe has stopped working" on STEAM
This is the error I get after updating vista to SP2. The game was working within acceptable parameters (rather slow and clunkly, but it worked) prior to that. Now it won't even launch.
I'm running:
HP DV6 laptop with...
Vista 32-bit SP2
2Ghz AMD Athlon x2 Dual-Core Processor
ATI Radeon HD3200
3GB RAM

Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.
Then zip the file and attach it to a reply in this Thread.
Looks like your Vista SP2 installation didn't really work.
I don't know if it will help, but you should be able your graphics driver from here:

Does it always crash in that module? That could imply it is sound related. Actually i can provoke a similar crash by deactivating my sound device in the device manager.
You could experiment a bit with that. There are three sound devices in your system:
First of all: Did anything change there since the last time it worked? One device list's a "HP Dock" and i could imagine that it's not always connected.
So you could try if it works while you're not connected to the docking station.
You could also try deactivating all but one of the sound devices in all three combinations, and then start the game, for testing purposes.
In any case, your troubleshooting was right on the money. I found the proper audio driver, installed it and...
POKER NIGHT IS WORKING AGAIN! (YAY!)
(also both HP and MS have received nasty hate mail for jerking me around for 3 days).
Thanks a bunch for everything,
Aja
