Delay on gift emails?

I just purchased a game as a gift and sent the recipient the code through the interface in the "My Games" section of my account, but the email hasn't been received yet. (I did this about 45 minutes ago and have triple checked that I entered the correct address)

Is there a delay on the gift email being sent? Or does it sound like something else is wrong?

    It probably ended up in spam. It might be best for you to direct email it. :(

    FYI for future reference, the email finally arrived approximately 36 hours after it was sent.

    I'm not sure if the delay was on Telltale's end or Gmail's, but I figured I would let you know =)
