Uh'what licences have been anounced? And what are you all talking about?
I think they've all been announced, there's just an embargo on them all. So far we only know The Walking Dead and Fables.
And after we all argued I said this place has a fun cast of characters (meaning the forumites) and Pants started choosing actors to play everyone. For like five damn pages.
This discussion has been so derailed it has a good chance of being being separated and made into its own thread. Guys I am shocked, I expected better of you! Especially Fawful, but especially Comrade Pants!

Expected better? What, like 10 pages of derailing?

Don't lump me together with That Guy With The Wheelchair!
I'm not actually a true Weegie, both my parents are but I was born and brought up in Perthshire, I moved to Glasgow when I was 20 because I went to university here. HA.

I'm not Scottish (I'm a Southern Snob) but I thought that was great!
'Somein' smells like shite, I'm outta here'
Okay, maybe I should have said that sometimes it's hard to explain it to non-Scots. It really hinges on whether they can actually understand the accent.
Sarcasm aside, there is actually a REALLY important detail here. Specifically, that it's in the comic book universe, which I find INCREDIBLY surprising. In the end, at least they've made ONE great decision in design.
The only other recent TV shows based off comics I can think of are Human Target (which isn't exactly "changing life") and the new Young Justice and Avengers cartoons (and even if a superhero game could fit Telltale's style, I think the DC and Marvel licenses are quite a bit out of Telltale's league right now).
I just realized something. So earlier today in this thread, I say how any DC or Marvel licenses would be too big for Telltale.
Now it turns out they'll be making a game out of Fables, a comic owned by Vertigo...which is in turn owned by DC.

I did notice this, and I too am incredibly happy by this decision. Not because I've read the comics yet, as I haven't, because I haven't had time (I have tons of comics sitting around that I've had no time to read, like Batman: Knightfall), but because following comics continuity is something that seems so seldom done, is such a great change of pace in design decisions, and in this case sounds like the best decision.
I seriously doubt it will come to fruition, but the Kirkman interview really piqued my interest about Invincible as a possibility down the line if TWD works out. I suppose if their tool can pull off Fables, the DBZ fights and gushers of blood in Invincible wouldn't be that far off >_>

Danny Boyle? He can do it all
The Walking Dead and Fables were leaked. One game is officially supposed to be revealed tonight, while the others will be in the following days.

We haven't gotten there yet? Then I AM disappointed!
On another note, who plays me?
Yes.
Yes. He's the greatest director working today!
Moi!? You are a silly, silly person!
I don't know. This is the first post I've ever seen you make. You can be played by Michael Cera.
Where are you getting that info from? Has Telltale set something up?
Don't lump me together with That Guy With The Wheelchair!
By the way, are you supposed to be the Rei Ayanami flavored Andrew Ryan trollplay? It effects my casting decision greatly!
Now I know what I must call my website.
Saw this a few pages back.
Edit: I agree with him that the game will probably be Walking Dead.
I never have, nor ever will pretend to be Rei Ayanami. I don't think she'd be a very good troll anyways.
Wait a minute, I'm become part of the thread derailment... eh, if you can't beat them, join them!
Please, the whole "I've got some internal hemorrhaging to attend to" is totally Ayanami.
In other news...
I lol'ed so feckin hard
And at least she's a *weegie*;):D

I feel compelled to post this
OMG THOSE ARE THE BEST THINGS EVER. I LOVE THOSE ADS. Except it's really hard to explain why it's funny to someone who isn't Scottish.
Really? I thought it was much more Winslow! :winslow:
I maintain that it's totally a Rei activity, though.
Exhibit A:
Cool.

I know right? Never saw it coming... Lol

Don't I feel stupid.

Fingers and toes crossed!;)
It has to be so now!
make it so!
C'mon guybrush!:D
