Wow! I can only imagine what this forum would be like if Tyrannosaur87 wasn't here keeping the peace.
Nice to know my efforts are acknowledgable. I just don't like seeing people fight, here or anywhere, especially fellow fans. We're all here because Jurassic Park has a major influence on our lives, and although this game is stressing all of us out, we seem to keep forgetting that. Our fandom is something that needs to be embraced and respected, not fought over and bickered at. In the end, this game will come out when it's ready, and it will be awesome. Everybody wins, and all is right with the world.
(And just because I can't resist stroking my ego) I must lead my people...
It seems as though I missed the big fight. Tell me, were shots fired?
One of the users went crazy with his opinion that the game has been delayed, and it got to the point where he began insulting other users, which caused more retaliation. I stepped in and did the best I could to handle the situation maturely and keep the peace before the Mods wind up stepping in and start banning people over a matter of a simple opinion.

too right, and martin lemme explain (group starts massive release date war within its self, tyrannosaur shows up all like "ALL YALL SHUT UP JP RULES HOORAH? " and everyone is all like HOORAH!) any way.. ive been a JP fan since before i could walk. and it still influences me now, just last week i conducted a small genetics experiment on brine shrimp trying to change the skin color via genetic make up food dye, and some eggs. (for those who care :it worked for about a week until the normal cells took over) the INGEn corporation in the movie made this all look so boss to me that i did it for a class project,
anyway: for those fighting over the release date: JP ROCKS...INGEN rocks...biosyn fails.. and thanks tyrannosaur for being a referee and a leader

Appreciate all the er...appreciation... for my efforts with trying to keep the peace. I'm just trying to make sure that this forum stays clean and free of poorly induced conflict (debates and such are just fine in my book as long as they're constructive and there aren't personal clashes like there were earlier). Jurassic Park, and Telltale Games deciding to grace us with what is sure to be one of, if not the best JP game to date, brought us all here together, and we've all gotten to meet and interact with hundreds, if not thousands of other fans, which is awesome in my opinion since growing up, I only knew one other JP fan whom I did not see very often, thus leaving me to hide my fandom in order to be accepted by my peers. Then I came here and to my amazement, there's so many others around, and it's awesome to see how well we treat each other. I know this ordeal is stressful for all of us, but we gotta remember that we're all human beings that feel, and that Jurassic Park being Awesome is the reason we're here. I don't want to see anybody get banned or anything like that over a silly little squabble over a matter of opinion.
(Oh, and that's awesome about your experiment. Did it ultimately go down as a success or a failure?)

Actually what happened was:
-TP3D speculated that JP: The Game would be delayed, which I agreed with:
Yes, I am not famaliar with telltales release process, but I am very familiar with effective marketing. I don't mind at all if its delayed, I just think its very naive to think them taking all the jp stuff on the main page can mean something good. I'd love to be proven wrong though. I'm just looking at this logically, it hopefully I'm way off.
Yep, I think this proves we won't be seeing the game for a while...Mid-May, at this point? June?
As Hammond would say in the novel, "Oh, Balls"!!!!
-Somebody named "Panther" starting ranting in a totally agitated way that I needed to "calm down" in two condescending messages, concluding with stating that I'd destroyed JP: The Game or some such nonsense:
It doesnt prove a damn thing. TP3D isnt even on the Telltale team. How would he know about Telltale's coportate policies? For god sakes settle down. There are still 6 days left in April so just sit down before you fall down.
I'm not agitated. I'm just sick and tired of all the negativity I'm seeing thats sprouting up everywhere. everywhere I go to look up info on this game theres nothing but people who have nothing but bad things to say about it. either its going to be delayed, or you cant shoot dinosaurs, or its not like crysis 2, or theres too much secrecy....blah blah blah. I just cant believe you people are so sapped of your enthusiasm even though the game isnt even out yet. Enough is enough. You keep this up and telltale will make it a point to never listen to their fans again.
-I responded and restated how I'd reached my viewpoint
-Several people kept echoing that I needed to "calm down", despite that fact I was perfectly calm
The majority of us have preordered. We've seen the mass hysteria that's in there. However people are still entitled to their opinions. The best thing to do is to let it go and move on. People aren't going to stop worrying about this game even after Episode 1 comes out. It's best to just let it be.
Guys, let's just relax. I know we're all hungry for new JP content, but it'll be out when it's out.
Really, with the amount of waiting we've had to do with this franchise, (IE, JP4), will another week really make that much for a difference? At least we know we're actually getting something this time!!
And then, subsequently stated disappointment that the thing appears to have disappeared. Reacting, not over-reacting...big difference. But whatever.
-Someone who had been screaming and throwing a hissy fit a couple days ago in the Insider forum about the release of the game repeated that "robotpo needs to cool it", or something, at each point I'd had enough and stated the IQ seems to be around 5, (which has just been proven again)
guys come on if u think its common sense that JP is going to be delayed ur really off. I mean come on TellTale has common sense too they'll tell you if its going to be delayed. Just shut up and be patient Ok? I REALLY want this game out tyrannosaur even knows that i hit the breaking point just chill out guys especially robotpo
-Meanwhile, "Tyrannosaur" after agreeing with "Panther" and stating "ignore the doubters" or whatever about my initial post, ran around agreeing with anyone in a totally passive-aggressive manner and contradicting himself every post. Then, after not having a grip on what was actually going on, took credit as the "Leader and Savior of Jurassic Park" in a display of staggering ego, after I'd gone crazy with my denial...or something
Agreed. Until we have hard evidence to support the speculation, it's simply that and nothing more. We'll know all we need to know soon enough, and there's plenty to do in the time that remains. Just a matter of being patient and learning to ignore the doubters.

I agree with many people here, it dosent matter if it comes out in May. Just as long as it does not come out years from now!
Exactly. It's not like we're facing a DNF type of delay, if there even is a delay to begin with. April's not over yet. We have 5 days and counting. Let's just ride this out and see where it takes us.
Besides everyone isnt looking at the big picture... Take this quote from A-team
"Gimme an hour I'mgood."
"Give my team a day, we're unbeatable..."
More time equals a better game.
-TP3D speculated that JP: The Game would be delayed, which I agreed with.

Yep, definitely DS territory...
In my defense, I did not see Panther's original post dictating that you 'Destoryed JP' or what have you. If I had, I would've objected to that, just as I have any other times.
Secondly, I never labeled you as a doubter. In fact, I never singled you out once in a negative manner. The only time I even mentioned you personally, it was when I stated that you were entitled to your opinion and should be respected the same as any other member here.
Thirdly, I'm not contradicting myself if I didn't change my opinion throughout the entire course of said ordeal. I repeatedly said that users are entitled to their own opinions and that this matter became bigger than it needed to be.
Thirdly, that whole 'ego' thing was a joke, and nothing more. Someone voiced their appreciation for my effort to keep the peace, I kindly thanked that person, and threw in a little humor just to lighten the overall mood. There's no crime in that.
Final bit, Okay, maybe labeling that you had 'gone crazy' wasn't my best choice of words, and for that I apologize. However you did go out on a limb by basically insulting the intelligence of every user in this forum (stating that the average IQ was 5 or what have you), and that's really what set things off and lead to peacemaker losing his cool and this whole thing blowing up. But whatever it's done. Let's just put it behind us and move on.
This is all I'm going to say on the matter. I'm not stooping down to anyone's levels and such. I did what I could to try and keep this forum a favorable place for fans to discuss their opinions, not wage a war of words with each other. In the end, you're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine, and Jurassic Park is Awesome. That's all.
My sentiments exactly. The game will come out when it's ready. It's better to have a polished copy rather than a bug filled travesty, because that would only lead to more complaints and more bad publicity for Telltale.

A question i'v been wondering about it off topic yes, but if it changes the negative topic then so be it.
This is based off the film, wich had 3 rapotors... now we only see the two together in the trailer, do you think they'll run into the third one?

Well, there may be many raptors from what we may know. After all, the Raptors were breeding. There were 3 in the pen, plus the hatchling in the Genetics Lab. But Grant found the nest prior to the other 3 adults escaping if I remember correctly, which to me hints that there are definitely more raptors on the island besides the 3 adults seen in the film

Well, there's obviously other adults elsewhere in the island, my guess that the two seen in the trailer are some of them. Maybe there'll be something where we encounter the one that Tim and Lex locked in the fridge, and maybe the other two between Muldoon and Arnold's murders and the final scene with the Rex. But there's no way to know for sure

Whoa dude your taking this whole thing out of context. All tyranosaur has done is try to keep the peace (that includes defending you a few pages back and as far as i can see the most insulting thing hes said to you is "relax" or "calm down"). The problem is people started personally attacking people instead of debating it. Also, just for your information I agree with you there is something weird going on about the release. If you go back far enough on this thread you'll see that TP3D, Tyrannosaur, myself and others were debating this on Friday. Just don't take things so personally. I know people were insulting you before,(which tyrannosaur was not a part of), but that's stopped now. So there is no reason to keep insulting people.

Just let him be. As I've said before, he's entitled to his opinion. I'm not saying that his belief and evidence of a delay is wrong, because for all we know, he could be right. From what I have seen, the evidence doesn't add up in my opinion, and I'm sure we'll have something new in a day or two. It's just best right now to not jump to conclusions and cause unnecessary panic and infighting, such as what transpired earlier. In the end, everybody's entitled to their own opinion, regardless of their beliefs. I did take the 'he went crazy' thing a bit too far when explaining to Martin McFly, and I apologize for that. This whole ordeal just needs to be dropped and put behind us so that we can continue marching onward to the release

Then we have a 4th raptor to add to the other three. But my point is, the two seen in the trailer are likely the ones seen in the concept art by Nedry's jeep thus suggesting that there are several more adults loose on the island. There's a decent chance we'll run into the ones from the film. Maybe even corpses of the two when we eventually reach the Visitor's Center

Indeed. That's actually my favorite piece of concept art. I just love the 'Oh Crap!' sense you get from Harding's posture, and the eerie stare coming from the Tyrannosaur
Three raptors. One went into the shed and killed Arnold, while the other two stalked poor Muldoon. After that, they went into the visitor's center. One got locked in the freezer. The one that got shut in the shed was NOT locked in and was the raptor who came in at the end just before the rex showed up.
Note that this isn't counting any raptors that had bred in the park.

Not that I disagree with that theory, because it does make sense, but is there a possible way to prove that other than the fact that raptors can open doors?

Wouldn't the ones bred in the park still be babies or juvenile?
Wouldn't the ones bred in the park still be babies or juvenile?
That's debatable. There's obviously gonna be babies and juveniles, based on the fresh tracks Grant saw leading from the nest he, Tim, and Lex found. Since the other 3, (or 4. It's possible) were in the pen, there obviously had to be at least two or more other raptors that were old enough to breed.
Are some people actually starting to fight? o.O Tomorrow is monday. We will hear something tomorrow. Sleep everyone.
Let's just say some things got taken out of context, some personal jabs somehow got thrown, it got sorted out, then started up when the user in question got a little technical with it, even though I do understand where he's coming from. Anywho, that's all I'm gonna say on the matter because it's gonna spark another round of it.
Not that I disagree with that theory, because it does make sense, but is there a possible way to prove that other than the fact that raptors can open doors?
Other than that, I'd say proximity. It's possible that there were other raptors close, but the nest was a fair distance away from the Visitor Center (to the East, South-East of it). If you look to the book for an excuse, the wild raptors flocked primarily to the south, where the volcanic vents were.
Then there's the movie making excuse: They only mention 3 in the plot, and three get shown (though not on screen all at once) to be close to one another at least twice (power shed, visitor center). The nest wasn't even really important to the overall plot of the movie; ending up just being a kind of throwaway reference to stuff that was integral to the ending of the book.
I really do hope it'll be out this week, but realistically... Back to the Future comes out this week, as does Hector. And if it were coming out this week, we'd have gotten an announcement by now...

I guess one game is released today, one on Wednesday and one on Friday. I'm sure we'll get some info about "Jurassic Park" today.

No deaths. Just some wounded egos.

Let's just say some things got taken out of context, some personal jabs somehow got thrown, it got sorted out, then started up when the user in question got a little technical with it, even though I do understand where he's coming from. Anywho, that's all I'm gonna say on the matter because it's gonna spark another round of it.
"They're lethal at eight months, and I do mean lethal."
These suckers grow fast, and we know that Jurassic Park was an undertaking that took a long, long time. Plenty of time for a new pack of raptors.
Makes sense. The two in the trailer are obviously bred in the wild, and there's bound to be more. How many exactly remains to be determined
I guess one game is released today, one on Wednesday and one on Friday. I'm sure we'll get some info about "Jurassic Park" today.
