75 percent discount and others

Hello,

There is a 75 percent discount running. Monkey island is 25 usd upgrade. I got the 1 st episode free because of the treasure hunt or play like a pirate thing. Anyway I eligible. So 25 usd with discount is less then 5 gbp. Plus I have discounts from treasure hunt. Can I add all this up? It would total to a pound or 2.

How much is p and p of the disc? Can I choose to not get it?

Also, there is an option of 0.00 on the monkey island store which doesn't seem to work. Could you fix that.

Thanks

The original treasure hunt discounts expired at the end of 2009.
They were replaced by $1- off discounts (iirc), but I'm not sure that even those work at all anymore...
EDIT: Regarding the $0.00 for TOMI (if you purchased the digital version), use this link instead of the other one.

Until June 30, the standard edition of TOMI costs $8.75 (£5.35 at the current exchange rate).
To find out how much shipping for an item is, just put it in your shopping cart and enter your address.
Let me do it for you with a random UK city (let's call it Cardiff).

Shipping costs for the TOMI standard edition to Cardiff are:
$10.82 for USPS First Class Mail International Parcels,
$16.75 for USPS International Priority Mail,
    $52.46 for FedEx International Economy
and $57.14 for FedEx International Priority.

As for the Deluxe Edition, the shipping costs to Cardiff are:
$15.14 for USPS First Class Mail International Parcels,
$15.75 for USPS International Priority Mail,
    $51.46 for FedEx International Economy
and $56.14 for FedEx International Priority.

For some weird reason, the Deluxe Edition costs less to ship when using the more expensive services than the standard edition (something I already noticed when quoting shipping rates to Australia).

shipping costs MORE than the game? i'd rather download it, then burn it to disc along with my serials.

Are the disc versions older than the downloadable versions? or is it up to date? usually they are out of date so no disc seems better. i don't want all the collectibles. it's just a marketing technique and probably low quality.

At this time, I believe that the disc version and the Mac downloadable version are the only ones that have the Earl Boen dub for "Launch of the Screaming Narwhal" (so, the disc version of that episode at least is newer than the downloadable version).

In addition, you get the following bonus features:

    - Highlight Reel with Team Commentary - Funny and insightful, the Tales development crew gets together for some monkey talk about Monkey Island

    - I Wonder What Happens - This collection features all episodes of the popular fan-generated "I Wonder What Happens," created by Majus Fietzek and friends

    - Tales of Monkey Island Trailers - All both of them! Together again for the first time.

    - Concept Art Gallery - View the art that inspired the design of the game.

    - Wallpapers - Suitable for all computers

    - Preview of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse -Third season of gaming’s favorite dog and rabbit Freelance Police

If the game is all you're interested in, you probably don't need the DVD, but it's a terrific addition to the collection of any self-respecting Monkey Island fan (IMHO, of course!).

what is the Earl Boen dub ? is it part of the game?

i rea somewhere that lechuck or elaine had 2 voice actors. what's that all about and is there a non-consistency between the episodes. as in, does the affected character sound different per episode?

    what does imho mean? :p

IMHO = in my humble opinion
LeChuck was voiced by two different actors (Adam Harrington in Launch of the Screaming Narwhal and Earl Boen, who voiced LeChuck in The Curse of Monkey Island and Escape from Monkey Island, in The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood and Rise of the Pirate God - actually, a third actor, Kevin Blackton, voiced a different variation of LeChuck).
Later, Earl Boen re-recorded LeChuck's lines for Launch of the Screaming Narwhal.
At this time, the downloadable PC version has not been updated to include Earl Boen's dub.
