Pc not even regonising disc - HELP

I have attempted to install Tales Of Monkey Island on my pc - however it cannot even read the disc. It keeps attempting to run but cant - no error messages come up. I have Windows Vista.

I have tried it on another computer with XP and it works.

Has anyone else had this problem or is there anything I can try?

    If it's not reading the disc...then you may have a problem with the DVD-ROM.

    How old is it? These things sometime break, you know :) Maybe you should buy a new one...

    Or just grab a DVD-ROM from a friend, put it on your machine and see if it works. Then you'll know for sure if you need a new one or not.

    Other games are working fine on it.

    System is more than capable of running game also - so dont know whats going on really.

    I have managed to install game through Safe Mode. This may help anyone with the same problem.
