in tomi how did lechuck know his plan would work

How did LeChuck know this plan was going to work. I mean in chapter 1 Launch of the Screaming Narwhal Guybrush says to Elaine that LeChuck's plans are always big and well thought out but in chapter 5 he says he planed for everything that happened to happen and you can see this because he already had the belt buckle that makes people trust him ready to put on when he turned human.

But how did he know Guybrush would smash the root beer bottle how did he know Guybrush's hand would have got poxed how did he know Morgan would betray Guybrush and take him back to Fotsam Island how did he know that Guybrush's hand would blow up Elaine's ship so how did he just guess all this stuff would happen?.

OK, here's a proper answer for you :)

LeChuck didn't know that, what he knew was that if he were to make sure the right elements were present he could make himself be turned human and he also knew that his evil 'mojo' would then travel all across the carrabean and infect pirates and that who ever tried to save the pirates would need La Esponja Grande, which of course was LeChucks goal. With that, once the voodoo was sucked up, he could turn back to... whatever the hell he was again and then use La Esponja to suck voodoo from the Crossroads to become a pirate god.

So to make this happen LeChuck made sure the ship he was on had 2 things, Grog and a Plant with long roots, with those as substitutes he knew what would happen. He also knew that this would occur to Guybrush as ideal substitutes as, well he's known Guybrush a long time now. He also knew Guybrush tends to show off, and that if he were to be ready for this he might be able to smash a root beer bottle, which he knew Guybrush would need, before he could spray the cutlass, forcing Guybrush to make the sub-situation.

Of course for this to work, he needed Guybrush to A. be some where with no other sources of root beer and B. nor complete the cutlass before facing him, so to ensure this he kidnapped Elaine, as he knew Guybrush would immediately follow, regardless of completing the cutlass and then he would also be in a venue that suited LeChcuk (one with no root beer). This is probably why LeChuck chose the Rock of Gelato, as it was miles from anywhere.

Everything that happened after that was just chance. If anything the ship exploding worked against LeChucks plans. No doubt he originally intended to trick Guybrush to believe he was good there and then, and then he would tell them of La Esponja Grande himself, after all he was the master of voodoo so they wouldn't find it strange that he knew of it.

The stuff with Morgan, ect, where all just things that happened. LeChucks plan was purely to change the spell on the cutlass to turn him human and release his mojo, trick Guybrush into becoming his friend and finally send him after La Esponja.

Hope this helps, lol, might seem like rambling, hope it made sense :P

Some of this does explain but as what Guybrush says LeChuck's plans are always planned out so well but this one just kinda felt like it happened by luck.

Clearly, LeChuck has Emperor Palpatine's foresight... and the same inability to foresee what's gonna kill him too, actually.

You forgot to mention that LeChuck would be wearing a voodoo trust charm should he become human.

There's always something I forget when I type longer posts! DX

lol, yeah that too. All in all LeChuck had a good plan, it didn't really depend any more on Luck than any other plan does.
