Sam and Max bug in They Stole Max's Brain (and I don't mean Sal)

I've bought the PC version of the Devil's Playhouse with the 5 episodes contained.
In Act 3, I'm unable to visit Frankie the Rat. Everytime I tried clicking on the destination on the map, the screen freezes on me, forcing me to log out of my Windows session. I even tried replaying this episode but inevitably encountered the same issue.
Anyone know any fixes for this?
