Episodic game format article

    I think that you have a pretty good summary in that article.

    Have you tried any other episodic games which focus on a different genre: Half-Life 2 or SiN? I played Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and thought it was a great addition. My only complaint is the waiting time between episodes from Valve. The next one doesn't come out until Q3 or Q4 of 2007!.

    Yeah, I think episodic gaming really doesn't work if you too long between games. You lose a lot of the positives and it becomes more of a sequel. It seems like episodic gaming is probably going to lend itself better to more casual games as well.
