Well... this is it, Season 1 ends in a week(or was ended a week ago)

This is just a thread for people to say, goodbye to sam and max AND to vote(it won't really do much by eh?) on a poll, it's up-top, you see it? now vote!
So, goodbye telltale, for now(well, for a week then i get ep6 for my final look over).

Season 1 has brought me positive surprises more than once. If season 2 starts out at the level of quality season 1 leaves us at, it has a good chance of becoming my all-time favorite adventure game bar none. I'm definitely getting in at the earliest opportunity.
I think I'll save the goodbye and the deeper quasi-philosophical reflections on the season for next week, though. :)

it really depends on the final cd/dvd which is shiped out after the season. Also, it depends on the topic for the next season... and if there will be any major changes in the next season. Also, it depends on the release cycles, and what other cool games(if any) are released around the time the first episode of the next season is released. I only got so much money to spend on games and other fun stuff, so I have to consider some things like that. I am considering alternatives to pre-buying the entire season for the next season, but what I end up doing really depends on many factors, some of the most important ones involving the final cd/dvd and what information is released about the next season. Anyway, there still plenty of time to decide, and I'm sure we will learn a lot more about the next season between now and then, so I'll decide when I got some more facts to judge by.

But like usual, I'm rambeling... so I'll stop before I put you all to sleep. It's been a good season, though, even though one can always expect more, at least I feel TTG has given sam & max the justice they deserve, and at least this season has given me the closure I wanted and perhaps even needed after waiting for freelance police/a sequel to hit the road for so many years.

Even your sig is indecisive marsan. :p As for me, I will most definitely be getting Season 2.

I've been impressed with Telltale's attention to detail & fanbase support. Oh yeah, the Sam & Max series has been a great ride, too!

Sign me up for a pre-order of Season 2 once it's available!
  • edited May 2007
If a pre-order for Season 2 came up, I'd buy it in a second. Season 1 has been awesome.
  • edited May 2007
Well, technically someone pretty high up in Telltale was on video and said there definately will be a Season 2, but I think they've switched to the usual official motto now of denying everything. :p That way if something unexpected happends, they won't have masses of rabbid Sam & Max fans. Nobody wants to upset S&M fans, baaaaad idea. :p
  • edited May 2007
Silly Adam. If their policy was to deny everything and never tell us anything about everything, Nintendo would have bought them by now.
  • edited May 2007
I'd definitely buy it. Make it sooner rather than later though, 'cause exchange rates are amazing at the moment. ;)
  • edited May 2007
The way season 1 has finished off I'd be buying it the second it was available
  • edited May 2007
Obviously! As I've loved the first Season, I'll love the second!
I hope for another complete soundtracks album!

No one's denying Season 2. We just can't tell you anything about it. :p

Also we have been working really hard on the disk, and are hoping it will make our Season 1 customers happy. :)

    Yay! :)

I would probably have to say that I'll buy whatever Telltale might spew out next, whether it's a new Sam & Max season or something completely different, you guys (and gals) rock!!

I'm just ashamed it took me until a week before Abe Lincoln Must Die came out for me to buy the season.

I'm definitely subscibing to Season 2 the second it appears in the shop.

Are you sure it isn't a pyramid, sphere, or multidimentional anomaly? ;)

I always thought of TellTale being more ovular, with a good amount of linearity, a full reversal, another bit of straightforwardness, and concluding with everything coming full circle...

I always feel strangely philosophical in the afternoon.

If season 2 was announsed and avalble for season pre-order, would you ASAP buy it?

Maybe if it included a free bucket-sized hat:D

I seriously don't think I'll get over that anytime soon. Up until recently I never really paid attention when people told me I had a big head.

Anyways, I'd certainly go for a Season 2. I'd also like to see Sam and Max content on the Wii for a combination of comfort, convenience, and the reality of my big screen TV and surround sound system (though it'd have to be Pro Logic). The sharp improvements from Episode 1-3 to 4-6 though make me a lot more confident in Telltale's ability to listen to the user and improve the product.

Ditto, I must have checked the download page at least 40 times over the past 3 days.

I got so impatient for the game that I went ahead and did the $0.99 trial for Gametap. Not sure I'll keep the service, though. Lot of compatability issues with the older DOS games that actually interest me.

Oh boy, yes!!!! I would buy season 2 in the blink of an eye!!!

Why bother with pen and paper?
Why not just copy and paste?

But the number is of no use to you without that 3-digit number on the back of the card! HA-HA, you don't know that number is 315! HA-HA, see how clever I am?

Although I have trouble breathing through my shrink wrap, the tension on my skull has actually merged both my brainhemispheres together so now I have attained unimaginable powers of intellect!

You should at least have used a less fake sounding number. You repeated 920 twice, and the first six are 823723, it kinda tips it off. Not that having someone's number means anything without the name. The security code is much less important.
  • edited May 2007
oh yes, if one looks at my new visa card, it says 4485851830696367. It's so obvious the other number is a fake.

Would you believe me if I told you I actually typed those numbers at random?
What are the odds that I should randomly type 920 twice?
    I must have magic fingers!:D

Now that I think about it, I do remember that my fingertips seem to have a preference for typing 920. 920, Look here they do it again!

Odd... I used that number to buy an Xbox 360 Elite, and Smollie's number to buy a PS3, and I got back the names Dan Connors and Kevin Bruner...

(By the by, Dan and Kevin, you may see a slight dip in your funds this month :D )

Well, do you know what a painstaking task that was, having to copy-paste each number seperately?:p

    920... whoops!

The secret is, when you "type at random" you tend to hit the same letters/numbers in cycles, or near adjacent ones. Patterns are easy to recognize in this case.
