What's you favorite piece of background music?

edited May 2007 in Sam & Max
Season 1 brought us a number of really impressive background tunes in a variety of styles. Hard as it is to choose, what's your single favorite piece of background music and from which episode is it. Only background music to locations you can actually play in count: no special music that only plays in certain cutscenes and none of the end credits or musical intermezzos. We should have a separate thread on those (maybe I'll even start it myself at some point), but I'm trying not to have them automatically eclipse the rest here. To jolt your memory, locations of each episode included (edit: d'oh, I left out the
Imposing Door and Driving 2.0
locations!).
I'm pretty torn myself. Both oval offices tunes, the background music inside the war room, pretty much all of the Reality 2.0 music and the Moonscape tune (which I somehow only started to fully appreciate after listening to the MP3) all come very close. But ultimately my personal favorite is the Toy Factory music. I can't find the words to explain why, I just know this is the tune I keep going back to listening to again and again and again.

The Don Ted E. Bear Waltz--I've had that one on my "favorites" playlist on my iPod since it came out. I've developed a bit of a thing for the background music around the "imposing door" now, too. Good stuff; I hope we get it on mp3. :D

Oh, and the music that plays in the virtual Lefty's.

    Lefty's 2.0, definitely.

The Casino Music, most of Reality 2.0 or the Moon! Argh, I can't decide.

Can't vote, my favourites are The Office, Don Ted E. Bear waltz, and Consecutive Office (from Abe must die), it happens to me some days to listen to them during hours. And I'm starting to like moonscape too, even if I find it less "story-telling" than the presidential one and the waltz... those two tell me stories when I close my eyes... they're evolving during the play, becoming stronger and stronger, more dramatic, like a movie music (for example, danny elfman's scores, especially his superhero themes). And I love that :)

My favourite music used to be anything from Reality 2.0, but now my favourites are the Moonscape and Inner Sanctum tunes (just listening to that one now).

Toy factory. Definitely the toy factory music.

Even though episode 3 is my least favourite in most other aspects, I absolutely love all the tunes in it.

Episode 3 had the best music for their location, in my opinion.

I picked "shared" only because I can't decide, I like all of the Season 1 music.

Hmm, I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I just heard a bit of the tune from the
    Max Song
about 1:05 into episode 6's opening cutscene...

I must not have been paying attention. I got kind of used to the condensed Big-Band jazz version of the original HTR theme Jared put together.

No, Zeek, he means the intro sequence with Max addressing the rest of the nation.

Oh, I'll have to listen to that again.

I'd have to give it to Reality 2.0. So nostalgic...

Mostly The OFFICE in ep. 1

Reality 2.0 lost slightly to The Mole, The Mob & The Meatball.

I love the sound of "Quiet on Set". Jazz man Jazzzzzzzzz !

It's so difficult to choose. Which is my favourite child? It would be inhumane to choose a favourite (although we all know we have one!)

    The winner is
    Reality 2.0. Nostalgia wins!
