Retina Graphics Update for Monkey Island not working on iPhone 4

I've updated Monkey Island Episode 1 on my iPhone 4 with the Retina update, but the game still does not have retina graphics. I know that the update was applied because the app icon changed, but the game's graphics have not. I saw a comment on the blog from somebody else having the same problem so this isn't just me.
