Hello was Roy G Biv a reference to a Boards of Canada song as well as the ROYGBIV colour thing?

    Ok thanks, it was my first post Sam and Max listen to the album and it sparked some kind of reaction. Off the topic and on it in a way Olsen and Kaini Industries are great too.

    As mentioned in other threads. Roy. G. Biv is just a mnemonic taught to children to remember the order of colours in the rainbow. Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet.

    Probably because Roygbp is harder to say :)

    There AREN'T seven colors. Depending on your definition, there are either 3, 6, or.... INFINITY!

    The number of colors isn't meaningful, just the order.

    Yeah. On the other hand, there really isn't any meaningful difference between so-called "indigo" and so-called "violet". The point is that it was only really split into two colors because of Isaac Newton's obsession with the number 7. If we were going to be consistent, we'd also have to split blue into blue and teal. There's actually a much more significant difference between those two than between orange and yellow.
