Can't Not Go Along with Kenny

I am at the part just after arriving on the dairy farm in episode 2, coming back after Danny killed the woman with Clem's hat. I have sided with Kenny throughout the game and helped his family but I agree with Lilly that we should just get our food and leave. Did I pick a wrong dialogue option or is this forced?

Please, please, please keep spoilers to a minimum. I just want to know if there is any way for me to not go through with Kenny's plan to unscrew the lock with the multitool and peek in the back. I have my concerns about it (and I'm worried that they may have Mark back there...) but I don't seem to have any other choice when I am not sure if I do.

    You HAVE TO unscrew the lock at the back of the barn to proceed. Even if you agree with Lilly, to advance in the game you have to unscrew the barn door.

    You don't actually have to open the door. You can walk away.
