Can't use ice pick on zombie ep. 1 w/Mac

Is there some trick to using the ice pick on the zombie in the motel parking lot? Playing on mac keyboard with trackpad. Tried lining up crosshairs and clicking trackpad, that didn't work. Tried using #1 and #2 to select ice pick and clicked with trackpad, that didn't work. Also tried "Q" and "E". Any suggestions on what buttons to use?

There is no trick. If you're talking about the zombie in the car that Katjaa was healing, just aim the crosshairs at the zombie and prompt to click the mouse. Remember to back up with the S key. I haven't heard anything about an ice pick.

It's the item gotten out of the truck at the motel. I used the spark plug to break the truck window and got it off the front seat. Maybe it's a screwdriver? I know that I'm supposed to stick it in the zombie's head, but no matter what I do with the crosshairs, the zombie just keeps killing me.

Oh. Sorry. I thought you were playing episode 2. It's an awl. When you aim at the zombie, wait until the crosshairs are completely at the zombie's head and when the awl is seen in one of the corners of the crosshair. Then click the mouse.

Okay, thanks. I guess I'm just not getting everything lined up fast enough. I've been having a little bit of trouble with the trackpad responding.
