I put my save file back after Windows reinstall, TWD doesn't recognize them

Hi,

I've backed up My Documents/TellTale/The Walking Dead.
I put it back there after installing Windows 8, but the save doesn't appear in the game. All I can do is start a new game in one of the save slots.

How do I get it to work?

    I am not sure about this, but i think by activating the game it might have overwritten the prefs.prop. If copying the old prefs.prop over the new one doesn't work, you could try this fix.
