Download Episode 2 won't start

Hi there,

trying to download episode two for my Windows 7 PC (says purchased in the content menu). But when started nothing happens and a screen pops up which says something like "no internet connection". But everything else is working fine. Even after shutting down my firewall nothing happens.

Have you tried it during a clean boot yet?

Booting clean in Windows Vista / 7:
1. Click Start --> Type msconfig --> Press Enter
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Load Startup Items
4. Select the Services tab
5. Check Hide all Microsoft services
6. Click Disable all
7. If running the game on Steam, re-check the "Steam Client Service"
8. Click on OK
9. Click Restart.
10. After reboot, run the game to see if it works.

After performing the necessary steps, restore your settings by doing the following:

1. Click Start --> Type msconfig --> Press Enter
2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
3. Click Ok
4. Click Yes, when asked to restart your computer

Thanks, that worked out pretty well and I immediately started gaming. But then after restoring the settings it says that I don't have a game license. Is there a possibility or will I have to change the mscongif each time I wanna play?

That sounds like indeed some software is interfering with the game. The best option is to try and narrow it down by selectively disabling only parts of the services during multiple clean boots. Once you have identified the culprit we can look for a way to mitigate the problem.
