EP 3: Bulletproof Helmet Anyone?

Yeah ok, I do not play games often. I'm having serious problems saving folks from the bandits so we can get the hell outta that Motel! Just can't position the left joystick (PS3) right, it's very unstable. The stick isn't broken or anything, and I know it can't be another bug. Anybody have trick to positioning the crosshairs for a quick, accurate shot?

I know it's meant to be hard but, lol, I'd like to pass this part by Christmas

not sure about the positioning but you can press R2 to shoot in stead of X
