I'm not entirely sure the Bugle said anything about an island prison converted into an evil lair, an army of hired minions, a swarm of spider robots performing 24/7 surveillance on all of New York City, or Spider Mechs outfitted with missile launchers.
I don't think the Bugle ever sad he was a mad scientist. I don't think they ever really appreciated the fact that Spider-Man has a brilliant scientific mind.
Seriously, it's what I would have done if I was in charge of Avengers 2. Well, either I would have done it for Avengers 2 or for Iron Man 4. One or the other.
Nah, I don't think so. Tony Stark's storyline wrapped up with Iron Man 3. He ended on a high note and since they aren't planning on doing an Iron Man 4 (well, with RDJ, anyways) it wouldn't make a lot of sense to open up another can of worms with Avengers 2.
My guess/hope/wishful-thinking is that there's going to be a more Banner-centric take on this movie given the praise given to Hulk in the last one (and possible rumors of a Hulk movie in Phase 3). Also, because if we've got insidious, evil JARVIS on the loose, you know he's going to find Banner as the easiest target around. I mean, Banner's already insecure and an outsider, it would take very little to get him to leave.
Alright, alright. That last bit is mostly wishful thinking on my part. There is very little based in even hypothetical fact. Just a single line in an interview with Joss Whedon that allowed me to jump to conclusions.
I read the first issue of Superior Spiderman free on Comixology and thought it was pretty cool I might get the Collected editions from the book store near me.

EDIT: Oh shit, you were actually serious.
Validation!
I finally found you, Spectacular Marvel Super-Thread! We will be best friends forever and I will never let you out of my sight again!
Totally meant in a non-creepy way.
We're just friends, really.
@Dashing I found this and I remembered you (rightly) said Spiderman The Animates series was the best.

Oh, do want.
Wish I could afford to just frivolously spend money on stuff like that. Oh well...
So, Thor: The Dark World happened. Gotta say, it's odd watching Christopher Eccleston destroy London for a change. Normally he's saving it.
So, way back on the old forums, I asked what issues of X-Men made up the "Phoenix Saga". Those issues are finally up on ComiXology.
