Need help in Episode 3, Chapter 7 where Clementine practices shooting

Hi, I'm stuck in the part of the game where Lee is showing Clementine how to shoot the bottle. I've tried every combination there is (I wrote them all down and marked off each one I tried) but Clementine keeps missing the target. Is there a correct combination (aim to the left then keep it steady for example) or is it totally random? It's difficult to tell where her aim is at and adjust accordingly from my point of view because it just looks like she's aiming at the same place after missing.

when she fires the gun watch where the bullet lands and direct her in what direction to shoot next
