episode 4 wont download on pc

i bought the game off the website downloaded episode 1-3 fine but i cant download episode 4 says i dont have internet connection but i do and im typing this up now as im trying to download...can anyone help???

Hi leeroy, the Telltale devs are aware of this issue and are actively working on a fix.

The official statement is here and may give you some things to try in the meantime. That thread will be updated as soon as there's an official resolution.

That helps people who have a bad internet connection, unfortunately it has nothing to do with people who actually have this issue. Also I have both the TTG version and the Steam version (they gave it to me when they blew the launch day on their own service, lol). The Steam version starts, and says ep 4 is ready to play, but all I get is a black screen when I start the episode. Great job Telltale! Your release of Ep 4 sucks even worse than usual, which is really saying something! Was it worth it to push this out before the season 3 premiere on AMC?

I purchased your walking dead telltale games product online...I have played 3 of the episodes and they all downloaded under get on the download screen in the game...I have anxiously been waiting for the next episode to come out..EPISODE 4...checking almost every day for the past 3 to 4 weeks''''''now that the game is out, I CANNOT DOWNLOAD IT.....EVERYTIME I PRESS GET EPISODE IT SAYS CONNECTION LOST CHECK MY INTERNET CONECTION??? MY INTERNET CONECTION IS PERFECTLY FINE...AND I GO TO THE FORUMS AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THE SAME PROBLEM THAT I HAVE, THAT ARE GOING ON..THIS IS VERY REDICULOUS!!!! HIRE ONE OF THESE obviously smarter people then what you have working for the company,,, THAT ARE POSTING THE FIXES IN YOUR FORUMS...THEY WILL PROBABLY DO A BETTER JOB then the idiots sitting at home who work 9 to 5 and as long as they put in their time and have their existing problems to fix in the morning.....ie US PC USERS.... then still have a job...thats pathetic THANKS..telltalegames

I apologize for the delay, but we are looking into this issue and hopefully will have an update soon.

For anyone on Steam who's game loads to a black screen after Episode 4 installs, please reinstall Steam and see if that fixes the issue.

The official patch for the disconnection issue is out now. Restarting the game will download and install it automatically. Afterwards you should be able to download the episodes.
