TWD mac problem?

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but whenever i try to start up my file on the walking dead ep. 4 a blank screen appears with only the menu mouse on it.
I tried to start another whole game file but when i finished ep. 1 and i tried to play ep. 2, it asks me if i want to rewind to a previous chapter. i could use some much appreciated help with this one or a patch as soon as possible

Loving the game telltale but i really want to continue and play episode 5 when it comes out. hopefully this will all be sorted out by then

Are you playing the Telltale version or the Steam version?

I am having the same problem. After finishing episode one and sitting through the credits, the game takes me back to the main menu, I select PLAY and it opens the game file widow with the file I had played under, which still says episode one. I select it and it takes me to the start screen for episode two, when I select play I get the following error message: "Rewinding will delete any progress made after this point, but retain progress made up to this point. Do you want to rewind to this checkpoint?" when I select NO the game freezes, when I select YES the game takes me to the last chapter of episode 2 with random choices having been made. I am using the mac version of the game purchased from Steam, this problem has only occurred since the last update for episode four.

^This, I'd like answered. Same exact problem. Many PC users have been able to locate and delete a copied file with the extension prefs.prop... I've seen nothing about this concerning macs, but they seem to stem from a common place. If you got a message from Steam saying that your files 'would be converted into a more efficient format' then for some reason that is why. As for mac users, it seems the only thing to do is delete and re-install the game, and possibly even Steam itself -_-

I have the same problem. Really frustrating! I even "replayed" episode 3, but the same issue.

We do not support any modifications you have applied to the game. These can cause various issues, including making the game unplayable.

In regards to prefs on Mac, they should be in your Library\Application Support\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead directory. If you search for prefs.prop and find any other version of this file either in your Walking Dead directory or in a Gamedata folder, you will need to remove it. Also, reinstalling Steam has helped some users affected by this issue.

When you install the Walking Dead, you can specify where you want it installed. Whichever location you chose during installation will be where you can find the main install. Unless you have a custom install on Steam, all gmaes should install within your Steam directory. All other Walking Dead files are found in your Library\Application Support\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead directory.
