Which episode had your favorite music?
As I was a room in my house, I was listening to the Sam & Max soundtrack, and I found myself breathing and standing still, then walking to the window, then petting the cat, then standing still again. Needless to say, the office theme was playing.
Now, my poll question is, which episode had your favorite music? I vote Culture Shock, and Bright Side of the Moon is second.

The OO music and the War Song are the tracks that really stuck in my head afterwards.
For what it's worth, some of my favorite Sam & Max music ever is in Ice Station Santa
At a close second is Abe Linclon must Die due to the Warsong.

I also do love Consecutive Office, but Abe Lincoln Must Die's soundtrack is not my favorite at all ^^

Lefty's, the voiced Mobster song and Cooking Without Looking are the three that I can just listen to, without context. 2.0 and Lincon stuff I can listen to without the game, but only because I have the context of them in mind. The others are just funny and/or nostalgic.
Wish I had an aud converter so I could get some of the tracks that weren't included on the season 1 bonus cd...
Or I could just sit in the War Room and bomb Bosco's until I get bored of hearing it. Either will work.

This discussion of music has also reminded me. When I was browsing the data directories, I noticed some songs have 2 versions of them, so I converted them from AUD to something I could listen to (don't ask me how, I don't want to make anyone mad). The two versions I've found are the 'normal' standard versions you hear 99% of the time, and there's also files with '_lite' appended to their names. They appear to be 'lighter' versions of the 'normal' ones, with some lead instrumentation removed. I was wondering what the purpose of these 'lite' songs was, since I don't recall hearing them often, if at all, and hoping that someone from Telltale would be able to put my curiosity to rest.
In fact, I have a lot of questions about the programming and development of the Sam and Max games that I fear might only ever be answered if I were to become a programmer for Telltale... or if I were to ask the right people REALLY nicely.
I always thought they just turned the volume down. I'll have to pay closer attention next time, or run some tests! *Wiggles his fingers like Max does*

People failing to overtly notice interactive music is the reason it's so frequently cut from games. There isn't a lot of "true" interactive music in the Sam & Max games, but there are sometimes changes in the tune as the story progresses (For instance, in Lincoln Must Die, the music in the Oval Office gets a more evil, dictatorial sound to it with an ominous male choir in the background once Max takes over the presidency.)
I did note the difference in the Oval Office themes. I also noticed such changes in the industry, and it's quite disappointing. The iMuse engine in Star Wars: TIE Fighter and X-Wing were removed in the Windows-compatible re-releases, and it really upset me. The interactive soundtrack really made the experience, and without it it felt like half the game was missing.
It's too great to be used only once!!!!
