Ep 4 Installed, but doesn't act like it.

It shows Ep 4 as being installed in the "Episode Status" menu on the main screen, but when I go through the end of Ep 3 and go to start Ep 4 it acts like it's not installed and gives the coming soon message.

Forgot to mention The Walking Dead is the game. Sorry.

    Same here.
I'm playing Walking Dead on PC (Steam) and basically there are 2 "options" right now:

1.) Starting the game normally, I can select and start Episode 4. But it always wants to create random decisions for the last 3 episodes, because apparently the new episode doesn't recognize my save games. Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of random decisisions in a game like this that is so heavily based on making your own.

2.) The game itself can use my old save games though. So it's possible for me to load my old save from episode 3 and play the end. After that, I'm getting the same error as the op: When trying to start episode 4 now, it tells me it hasn't been released yet.

I really hope, Telltale can come up with something to fix this problem as this is an amazing series. But I really don't want to have to play all the episodes again to enjoy the latest.

I've had this problem since when Episode Three was released. There has been no official awknowladgement of the issue; worse still, the forum thread I was posting in about the issue recently got deleted. I'm sorry Telltale, but deleting a thread does not fix the problem.

To paraphrase, your technical FAQ states that "if you load the save your choices will be carried over regardless." THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE.

I would very much like to play these episodes, and have paid for them in full already; this experience is forcing me to put very little faith Telltale's ability to actually deliver on what they have been paid for.

While I agree that this situation is frustrating, this whole forum needs to learn that berating the TellTale mods will not get the game fixed any sooner. TellTale can't be that big of a shop so they're trying to get this fixed as soon as possible. People need to remember that TellTale isn't the same as Valve or one of the other big companies. Just be patient and we'll all figure something out.
