PC version: is an additional purchase required?

The game description says: "Gain access to the full season [5 episodes] of The Walking Dead by purchasing the Season Pass, which will act as your gateway to every episode of the game."

Does purchasing the PC version of the game entitle the user to all episodes, or must an additional purchase be made in order to download the new (2-5) episodes? In other words, is the game itself the "Season Pass" or does it just include the base game (episode one only)?

I know that the console and IOS versions require a $5 game purchase, followed by $5 for each additional episode.

    By purchasing the game through us or Steam, you will get all 5 episodes as they are released. Purchasing the Season Pass is a one time purchase.

    The Season Pass can also be purchased on the Playstation Store. For iOS, you would purchase the first episode, then have the ability to purchase the Multi-pack, which is episode 2-5.
