TWD: Can't start EP 3

When ever I try and start TWD EP 3, I get stuck on a black screen. I've tried it again, re done the end of EP 2, and copied my save and tried it on a different slot and it still doesn't work.. Any idea whats going on, I'm eager to try the new ep.

I'd like to move this to the appropriate support forum.
What platform are you playing on?

Thanks. Does it work, if you create a new Episode 3 game with random choices, in an Empty save slot?

Sorry for the long reply. Nope, tried that to, I just hear opening music on a black screen. I don't know whats going on, the games been working like a charm up until this episode.

I see. Where did you buy the game?

There are some things we can try.

    First move the savegame folder
    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
to a different location, e.g. your Desktop. That way the game won't find the savegames and settings during our test.

Now try again to start an Episode 3 game with random choices. If it works, something is broken in the original savegame folder.

If it doesn't work, try reinstalling steam. If it works then, you can try removing the newly created savegame folder, and moving the original one back to restore your savegames.

Tried it, still doesn't work. Every episode up to this one worked. I re-installed the game moved the save folder etc etc. But then the same thing happens when I go into the episode and just here music on a black screen.

Did you actually reinstall steam, or just the game?

If you already tried that, let's check some things.
Check which of these folders exist, by copying the line into the Windows Explorer. If they don't exist, you'll get an error message. If they do, you'll see the content. Let me know what happened for each one:

    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead

    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\GameData

    %PUBLIC%\Documents\Telltale Games\GameData

Next, open your TWD installation folder, which should be something like:
    \Steam\SteamApps\common\the walking dead
Check if there is a file called prefs.prop in it, or any of it's subfolders, and post the results.

Sorry for the long response. Still doesn't work. Ep 4 works, but I heard ep 3 is a crazy episode so I don't wanna skip it.
    Any other ideas?

What were the results of the individual steps?
    Which of the folders exist?
Did you find any prefs.prop files in the steam TWD folders?

I had the same issue, reinstalling Steam helped.
