Finish epi.2 and almost 3 next time im at 2again

Hey
(Pc Windows 7 32bit with steam)

It was last week when i played (3rd slot) episode 2 through
and almost the 3rd one(after the point with duck).I waited till
it was saved and closed the game.Now i wanted to play a lil more
and it tells me im at episode 2 where i stoped a few days ago
I already looked at my steam folder and documents and i got prefs
once in documents and one time in my steam folder.

I already had the problem that i saved carley and when i started the next episode i had doug,but i was looking on here and could solve the prob.

So what is with this prob?what can i do?
And for me its not really an option to deinstall steam and download
everything new,bc i got like wireless internet(i use a surfstick(called in germany).And i am limited in my internet speed.So i dont go and pay
70 or more euro just that i can,download everything again.
I payed the money for the game and normaly it should be working
and not that i need to fix it.

Im getting pretty pis.... off about it.I really like the game and thats
why i wanna play it always a lil different but there are always some probs:(

And if you can explain me what i can do(if you dont fix the prob.)
then please in a easy way and step by step,bc im not really used to
these kind of things.

Please remove the secondary prefs file in your Steam directory, as it should not be there.

Ok im going to delete it from steam/steamapps/common/twd/pack/default

I hope it works now,i really like the game and want to play different ways.
I hope with epi.5 wont be probs again.Its such a cool game and poor

I'm encountering the exact same problem and this did nothing for me, it still thinks I'm on Episode 2. I looked in the save folder and I have a save file that corresponds with when I beat Episode 2, looking at the Date Modified information. Is there a way to force the game to load this save file?

If i would be you (and thats what im doing XD) just play it from epi.2
its a lil annoying when you do so often like i XD ,but maybe it works then

The game will normally load from the saves and prefs in your Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead directory. If you have another sets of prefs, this file can sometimes interfere. We're still investigating the various ways this file can be created in other directories, but once it's gone, your save should load normally again.
