Need help installing CSI and CSI dark Motives

I have tried installing my games. There are 3 cd's with each game. I put in the first cd and everything is fine. Then a box pops up with the option to type something in. Then it says path not found. It tells me to reinsert the first cd and i do, same box pops up. I try to put second cd in same problem. Am i supposed to type something into this box. Im thinking im supossed to pick a folder or file or something where the game is supposed to be loaded to? There was something that came up when i put the first cd in and i tried that, but still not working. I tried freeing up room on my computer and still not working! Help!

Telltale did not develop these CSI games so we can't really give any specific help, but I hope the suggestion works. :)

What does this message actually say, and what do you type in?

I put in the first C.D. and it starts to install then a box comes up with a D:
like im supossed to type something in. Its says re insert first C.D. so i do. Same stupid box pops up. Just like the box that comes up when you click on run programs. So i try installing second C.D. instead of re inserting the first C.D. but that dosnt work either. Am i supposed to type something in. Somebody said that i need to pick a folder or something where i can install the game.? I am at my wits end! I just bought these games off Ebay and i cant even play them! HELP!

You don't have to type anything into that box. The D: is the name of your drive. These games typically come with an installer and they usually go through a process of asking you what folder you want to put it in. When you start to install the game, does it do that? Is your drive actually recognizing the first CD you put in? You can always look at your My Computer folder and see if the name of the CD shows up on your D drive. If the drive recognizes it but the installer doesn't start, you can find the setup file on the first CD and run that.

If your drive isn't recognizing it, you may need to try another drive. If it is recognizing it and the installer is working, when the box pops up for you to put in a CD, you'll need to put in the next CD.

How do i find the set up file on the first C.D.? Im not sure if its working or not. I put in the C.D. and it starts up like its installing then it says to reinsert first C.D. Ive got this install wizard that pops up. I tried another drive and still nothing. Should i pick a folder where its supposed to be installed?

To find the setup file, go to My Computer > D: drive open (right click it and use Explore) > there should be a setup file. You shouldn't have to pick a folder - if the install wizard is working properly, it usually picks a folder automatically and asks if that's OK.

I'm not sure if you're drive is recognizing the CD (it may be, but I can't be sure) so if manually starting the setup file doesn't work, I've exhausted all that I know and it's probably time to contact technical support of the company that published the games.
