BTTF: Windows 8 problem

Hi,

I've installed Back to the Future but the game won't run by clicking the icons at start screen.

So, I've downloaded the 'dinput8.dll' file. This time, the launcher popped up and I was able to log in but it was not possible to hit the 'Play' button on the launcher.

What could I do?

Try getting Windows 7 and saving the next few years of your cyber life from agony.

I am having the same problem but starting as admin hasn't helped. Are you playing the Steam version? I hope a windows 8 patch comes out soon as I just bought this game during the autumn sale.

To the person who's advice was get another OS. He asked a legitimate question which you answered with throwing feces, way to go Bubbles. I hope your CPU heatsink fails.

Update - I found the issue. It was my Xbox 360 wireless receiver. As soon as I unplugged it the game worked.

No, he asked a legitamate question and I gave legitimate feedback. Windows 8 stinks, you're better off with 7, and it is fact that the game works with 7.

I't works for me too, after I unplug my x360 controller.

This is the same problem I had with "The Walking Dead". Disconnecting my Logitech game controller resolved the issue.

@csfalat Are you currently running Windows 8 on your computer? If so, I recommend upgrading to Windows 8.1 for free, then start the game again and you should be able to play successfully.
