Game crashes loading episode 2

So here's a weird one:
I had the episode 4 bug where I couldn't make a new game. I used the workaround and started a new game. I finished episode 1, then the next time I tried to load it, it said it was on episode 3, completely skipping 2. I rewind back to episode 2, and now the game won't even load. I try to load episode 2 and music starts, and it just freezes on a black screen with the music playing.

I was honestly being really patient, but this is extremely frustrating. I can't play the game, and I'm constantly in fear of losing saves. Have I lost this one too?

    Well I just rewound back to episode 1, finished it again, and now episode 2 seems to work again.

    Same thing happened to me just now, except I don't even have ep. 4 downloaded. Only 1, 2 and 3 and only played partway up through 1/4 of the way or so through ep. 2.
