Unable to download purchased episodes Coming Soon

I have tried all of the fixes listed in the forums including removing and reinstalling the game, restarting the iPad, quitting the app and relaunching, and signing out and back in from Game Center and all episodes are still listed as Coming Soon. I have also tried just waiting to see if this issue would be resolved by an update or fix and it still persists after 3 weeks.

Is there a real fix to this? If not how can I get a refund?

You will need to shut down the game application, make sure you are logged into the account you used to purchase the Walking Dead, and then re-launch the game. When you do this, you will see a black screen for a few moments. This is normal as an update will need to download. Afterward you should be able to download episode 2 from the in-game episodes menu. If not, please restart the device and try again.

Unfortunately, we can not offer a refund for any purchases made through the iTunes store. You will need to contact iTunes Support for further assistance.

I have tried everything you listed above but they still say coming soon. It is getting tiresome. I want these episodes. I am addicted. What are y'all doing to fix this bug. IPad 2

Me too it s the same on my iPad 3. That s pretty frustated. Nobody CAN give us a true solution?

I have done all the recommendations that I can find on this site, but it's still showing up as "coming soon". This is so annoying! Paying customers have to resort to method that doesn't even work. And they can't even refund the money.

MattP, this is getting extremely frustrating now. When does Telltale plan on fixing this? It looks like your methods are not working. Customers shouldn't have to put up with this. Can you please tell us when this problem should be fixed? (The next update?).

The game needs to connect to our servers to update the episode status to available. We have done numerous tests, and have had no problem with the application updating properly. Please make sure you do not have any programs or settings blocking access to our servers. Also make sure you have a strong internet connection and are logged in to your iTunes account before launching the game again. If you do this and still find the game is not properly connecting, please uninstall and reinstall the base game (Episode 1) through iTunes.

Hi, I have just purchased the 2-5episodes and it was not working. i tried to follow all advices inthe forum and at the end I uninstalled and reinstalled the application but now it is making me to buy again all episodes. What is going on? Do I have to do anything else to download the episodes? I can not believe what is happening

You will need to re-acquire the multi-pack. To do this, you need to log into the account in which you initially purchased the multi-pack and continue the steps to purchase it again. You will be asked to confirm your purchase, and then be notified that you already own the content, and be prompted to download it again. If you are not logged into the account you used to purchase the multi-pack the first time, you will be charged again. Once the multi-pack is re-acquired, you will be able to download other episodes.

If you already bought the multi-pack, just "buy" it again. A message will pop-up saying that you've purchased it and won't charge you again.

Unfortunately, that method of deleting and re-installing doesn't work. It's still showing up as coming soon. There is nothing that's "blocking access to outside content".

    Any other brilliant solution, telltale?

    Dear Mr. Matt P,

I have also got the same problem, I have bought the multi pack and have paid for it in full, now it becomes your (Telltale) responsibility that you deliver the game to my iphone(4S), else it is simply fleecing your customers...this is a big problem, the episodes still say "Coming SOON"...even after 3-4 months of purchase, what is happening at your company, don't you guys need customers to run your organization, or you just turn a blind eye to the ones with whom you get into problems, either you return my money with interest or you get the game going for my phone...please make a choice and let me know...

    Regards,
    Mudit.

    Hi Matt,

This seems to still be a persistent issue and Telltale seems to be doing very little about it. I've purchased the DLC pack, and so far I've

    1) Tried Hotspot VPN
    2) Tried shutting off my iPad for 10 mins, turning it on and connecting again
    3) Reinstalled the application 3 times now
    4) Tried changing the system clock to 24hrs

Yet the games still all show up as "Coming Soon". Someone needs to have some idea of what's going on, or be able to reproduce this error. It's frustrating to know that very little communication is coming from Telltale's side on what's happening with this going forward.

    Thanks,
    Nick

We are looking into this issue, but have not been able to reproduce this issue. If released episodes show as Coming Soon, then you are missing the latest patches that flag these episodes as available. Please ensure that any programs or firewalls that limit your internet access may be interfering with the game's ability to get these patches. Please disable these, including the built-in firewall on your router, and then launch the game again.

Please also note, that if you are trying to connect to the iTunes store in a region where the game is not distributed, you will not have access to the game content or automatic patch downloads.

To simply say that "we haven't been able to reproduce the issue". It is clearly the case for large numbers of people, judging from the posts here and on the App Store.

Same for me, incidentally. Purchased all of episodes 1-5 and played them through. Now episodes 2-5 are inaccessible as is 400 days. All simply say "coming soon"

I have rebooted the Ipad, deleted the app and re-installed (twice), tried it without restoring purchases, tried it with restoring purchases - no joy. So now I can not only not play 400 days but nor can I play episodes 2-5 (which I have already paid for many months ago).

I have a lovely strong Internet connection, am in the UK and not a firewall in sight.

It seems plain that there is a problem.

    Hi there :)

I have had the exact same problem and am pretty sick of the responses (or lack of) which I have received. I purchased the game months ago and played through episodes 1-5 without a glitch. Now all ive wanted to do is play 400 days and I've had to re-install the game, I have had to re-buy the episodes to which I now cant play cause of this 'coming soon' bug. I have contacted telltale support by e-mail to which I have to no response at all and all I can be told on forums is that 'they cant seem to find a problem'. Well considering the amount of people who seem to have had the same problem, there clearly is one and its not the paying customers responsibility and the fact that you are refusing refunds is out right ridiculous!

Its a shame as I am a huge fan of the game but if this persists then I will not be buying anymore of the following seasons.

Does it have to be the latest iOS software? I have 5.1.1

I know it's been a while, but for anyone still looking for a fix, here's how I fixed it:

    1) Download iExplorer from: http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/ (no need to purchase it)

    2) Open iExplorer and plug in your iPad/iPhone

    3) Click on 'Apps' in the sidebar and navigate to 'Walking Dead'

    4) Open the Documents folder and replace the prefs.prop file with this one: http://www.filedropper.com/prefs

Reload Walking Dead on your iDevice and the episodes should now be available.
