Bug - Retina MacBook Pro - unreadable text in The Walking Dead

On my 15" Retina MBP, I can't read any of the text in The Walking Dead - instead, all that displays is boxes of garbage data.

Here's a giant screenshot.

When I play on my 13" 2009 Macbook Pro, I also get this problem. I'm running OSX 10.8.2.

Please try running the game in windowed mode, by pressing Command + F.
If that works, changing the games graphics resolution in the settings might make it work in fullscreen.

That seems to have fixed the problem for me. Thanks.

Switching to a very low resolution - think 800x600 - did make the text appear. It's not a good solution, though; I hope Telltale puts this into their bug tracker!

When the game launches in full screen mode the first time, it will automatically select a resolution based on your computers current setting. If it does not find one that matches the available resolutions, you may need to set the resolution yourself. Once set, you should be able to play in full screen mode again.

Matt - I should be clear that the problem isn't the resolution chosen by the game, but the fact that the text is displayed as garbage pixels. That's the bug here. :)

Similar texture problem in episode 2, with the skybox and some foreground sprites showing garbage.

    Screenshot here.

That looks like a compatibility issue with your graphics card. It may be under-spec, or it could be forced anti-aliasing. If you turn anti-aliasing, after-effects, and shadows off in the Settings menu and this still occurs, you will need to turn anti-aliasing off in your video cards control panel.

    I don't have a video card control panel - I'm on OS X :)

This is definitely a Walking Dead bug. So far I cannot find a combination of settings that work properly.
