No progress after login

I just got the d3dx9_41.dll thing figured out, and now after I enter my login info and pw, it just sits there, with the scrolling text.

Is there anything I can do fix this?
This has been a rollercoaster so far, but with no peaks, just valleys.

    I've searched through the prior posts and found similar problem threads, but none with any solution..
    Login screen with scrolling text. Nothing else after login.
    I've had a horrible time so far this evening, first with steam, and now direct from telltale.

    Maybe I should have went with the Xbox version. LOL

    I'm looking around, I cant find anywhere that gives me the info on refunds.
    How do I go about getting a refund? Does anyone know?
    I have a bit of patience, but 3 hours to get started is too rough for me.

    Count me into this group of at least 2. I used to have TWD installed on Windows 7 and it worked fine. But I clean installed Windows 8 a month ago and clean installed TWD onto it tonight, and after I enter my email and pwd, I just sit and watch scrolling text. No amount of clicking or Esc/spacebar/Enter-pressing does anything. I have to use task manager to shut it down. Any ideas?

    We do not support Windows 8 at this time. We are looking into supporting this system for future releases, but our current library only supports up to Windows 7.

    If I go download it to my xbox, will I be able to get a refund for the PC version I've wasted going on 4 hours with? I just want to play. Sigh....
    This has been horrible.

    Okay, so my problem wasn't exactly the same...a reboot got me past the scrolling text screen. There are other problems, but I'll put them in their own thread.

    Stuck on starting screen with Rolling text. What do I do? Running windows 7.

    Am using windows 7. I input my login and password and nothing happens. It's just the scrolling text and no amount of clicking and tying out the keyboard yields anything. Is there a workaround. Thanks.

    Guys,

    I've figured it out. At least why its not working for me. You have to allow it to connect to the net in your firewall. Hope this helps.

    I have another, at least this worked for me (W7)... in the desktop, right click the TWD icon and choose "Troubleshoot compatibility" then choose "Try recommended settings" then "Start the program" (if a pop-out message appears, just try again util the game starts, btw it starts in windowed) after you log-on wait a little bit and under the "The Walking Dead" logo should appear "connecting..." and the game starts. hope this was useful for anyone. (sorry for my English)
