Lost Saves, Tried Sizemore, Didn't Work

I lost my saves after trying to start episode 4. Crashed and now the game wants me to start over again. Issue here is I have tried to Sizemore fix, but it didn't do anything. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I change the timestamps and switch the file over, but it still wants me to start at Chapter 1.
I also tried the whole "restore point" but when I right click there is no restore point option.
Now instead of asking the community for help, I am asking the developers for some kind of response as to why this is happening. Is there a fix coming? Is there an ETA on a fix? I know there are several other threads, but I haven't seen one where the Sizemore fix didn't work. I tried it and nothing.

What percentage of game buyers would have the knowledge to do this? I have no interest in going into files and deleting them, switching them around, or any other workaround that possibly jeopardizes my prior saves. There should be a patch put out as soon as possible. This would not be tolerated on the IOS or console versions.

It is happening on IOS and some console reports.

Bump. I have been bumping this thread for a week and a forum admin deleted them. Still waiting for someone from Tell Tale support to get back to me. No answer. I paid money for this game, I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!

Did you actually load the savegame to see if it worked, or just look at the data that it shows in the savegame slot?
I am asking because the data will still be from your new savegame if you do this workaround.

I'll run you through it once more. Maybe you missed some detail earlier.
    - Move all savegames and the prefs.prop away from the savegame folder
    - Start Episode 4 until it saves
    - Close TWD
    - Copy your latest Episode 4 savegame (by time/date) to the savegame folder. Be aware that if you played on another slot, you might have other savegames from other episodes with a later date.
    - set the timestamps of your old episode 4 savegame to the timestamps of the new one
    - replace the new savegame, with the old one (delete new one, rename old one)
    - Start TWD and load the savegame

If that still doesn't work, i don't know how to help you.

Also be aware that that workaround might have unexpected consequences, because the data that is originally stored in the prefs.prop is missing.

None of this works. I have to start all over and this could happen again from what I have read. What is Tell Tale doing to fix this issue? Who should I speak with about getting a refund on a broken game?

I feel your frustration. I can't answer for TTG, but you can write to support@telltalegames.com
