Walking Dead Save Erased?

I was playing Episode 4 and about midway I decided to get off to play later. When I come back on I find out it says I'm on Episode 3 and when I click Episode 4 it says "Generate random decisions" I'd rather not choose that option so when I click back on Episode 3 it asks me "Would you like to rewind?" I click no and then I just get a black screen. What now?:confused::confused::confused:

I'm having the exact same problem. I even tried to back up my save game folder and erase my saves. However now I can't even get them back after replacing the files. What kind of save game system are these devs trying to do here? Even after I replace all of the files, I have 4 empty slots all wanting me to start a new game. THIS SUCKS!!! There is no freakin way I'm starting all the way back from Ep1.

EDIT: I was able to get it working by backing up my original save files (On a Mac in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Telltale Games/TheWalkingDead) The little squiggly is your home folder. Once I had copied that folder, I started the game and deleted my saves through the game interface. Quit the game, and copy the files back. Once the game is started, the four game slots still showed empty. However, I started a new game, and immediately skipped to the fifth episode. It said it would generate random decisions, but once it started, it continued right where it left off before all the trouble began, and my choices were intact.

So basically I have to copy my saves, delete them, and then start a new game and put them back? This problem is so frustrating...

Just Click the episode. I had the same problem.. Just click the episode and then press play ^_^ deleting and backing up doesn't do anything to the problem.

But it's telling me to generate random decisions which I don't want..

I backed up my files, erased my saves, and put the files back. Then I started a new game and skipped to the correct episode. It told me that it would use random picks, however it still used the correct save file with all of my choices. I've modified my response to include that tidbit of info.
