I am having exactly the same problem. My game was freezing so I tried to lower the resolution and now every time I try to turn it on I just get a jumbled mess of whatever was on my screen before I clicked on The Walking Dead game. I can hear the noise and also use the Steam utility by pressing shift + tab but am unable to get to the game.

I've tried changing my computer's resolution as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the game but nothing has worked. If someone has a solution that would be fantastic.

    thanks,

Please try navigating to your save directory (Library\Application Support\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead) and temporarily copying this folder to another location, and then launching the game again. If it launches without issue, then the problem is most likely your prefs.prop file. The only solution would be to remove the save folder you just moved, which will unfortunately remove your save progress as well.

You can also try if switching to windowed mode by pressing Command + F helps.

I looked in my Application Support folder and did not find a folder for Telltale Games. I can't find these files even if I wanted to delete them.

Also I've attempted to try windowed mode and it won't respond.

This is the default location for your game saves, patches, and downloaded content. The game will automatically look to this directory, so this may explain the issue you are experiencing. Please do a search on your computer and try to track down this folder. When you find it, you can try moving it to the specified location, though this may create other issues as well. The safest way to proceed is to remove this folder and then launch the game again and make sure it creates these files in the correct location.
