TWD EP5 Problems

So I finished EP4 the other day, got the "to be continued" screen and when I try and continue on to EP5 it says "coming soon" if I restart the game I can start EP 5, but it will autogenerate what I did in EP4... which is not what I want to experience.
If I start EP4 I start playing from when I pick up the walkie talkie next to the zombie, near the end. After I finished EP4 my savegame updates with the new time-stamp, but after I restarted the game, my save has rolled back to the previous time-stamp and seems to never have gotten properly update with what I did last, and I gotta play through the ending of episode 4 again. Four times now, quite infuriating.

This is really a pain in the arse, cause I really want to play the last part of this awesome series. So hopefully someone can fix this frustrating error.

Hey man, just made a thread of my own @ http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=738626#post738626

Seems like your having the EXACT same issue.

Lets hope someone can get it working again!

    Exact same issue, OSX 10.8.2.

PLEASE, somebody more knowledgeable than myself (Read: Telltale), check out this problem so that I can enjoy the product that I've paid for, and have waited eagerly for the 5th episode of.

    Thank you.

This is exactly my issue as well. MBP OS 10.7.5 - back to the second last Ep.4 scene and unable to progress.

Just want to add that I did start to play Ep.5 using the "autogenerate" ending (which looked like how I had ended Ep.4 - coincidence?). However, now the game will not the save file to "Episode 5" and I lost all progress (again).

I'm struggling with some of these same problems. Here's some small progress, pasted from http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41307:

Using the Steam client, I went to the library tab and right-clicked on The Walking Dead for a menu, then chose Properties. I clicked the Local Files tab, then chose Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Now my Ep. 4 session appears to save -- when I try to start it, it attempts to begin at Ep. 5, whereupon the screen promptly goes black/freezes up.

Still can't play Ep. 5, either after replaying 4 (the credits roll, then dumps me back to the main menu, but this time Ep. 5 _is_ listed as installed) or on its own by allowing random choices.

This might help -- when I replayed the last bit of Ep. 4 to see if it would bring me into Ep. 5, I rewound it to the proper beginning of the last chapter, and not to Lee reaching for the walkie -- that's not a chapter beginning, and I'm not sure why it kept starting there.

So hopefully the Verify trick will solve your memory issues and allow you to finish the game. Sadly, trying to start Ep. 5 freezes up the game for me -- I've never gotten it to run, either with or without my choices.

This may be an issue with having multiple prefs files generated in different folders. Please do a search on your computer for prefs.prop. You should only have one copy of this file in your save game directory (Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead). If you find another copy elsewhere, this needs to be removed. Usually this duplicate file can be found in either a Gamedata folder adjacent to your save directory, or in your installation folder. If you remove this file, but still experience the issue, then it's possible the duplicate file is being recognized instead of the prefs in your save directory. Please take the duplicate file and move it into your save folder (which will overwrite the existing file). You may want to back-up both of these files before attempting this process, just in case.

i have the same problem. I finish ep 4 and it says coming soon for episode 4 and 5. When I restart it takes me back to the end of episode 4 and once i finish it the same thing happens. Its FRUSTRATING!! I only have one folder where all my saves are which is in the library. I purchased it from TellTale. Please help. All the other posts mention saves in multiple folders but all my saves are only in that one folder, they aren't even separated by episode.
