Walking dead: Saves not showing up for episode 5

Since I started playing, my save only show up as one file "game one, save 1". I have played off this save through episode 1 all the way to end of episode 4 and everything has saved and loaded just fine.

After purchasing episode 5, I have done the same as I always do. Start the game, choose that (only) save and away we go. Episode 5 however doesn't seem to recognize my previous save, even though it shows up under the save game screen.

When I choose to play this saved game, and start episode 5 it asks me if I want to randomly generate. Whats up with that?

I see many people out there taking it upon themselves to find a work around to help with the issues faced in this game. My problem seems different than what others are facing and the methods that they are using to fix issues. I can "see" the save game, but why on earth wouldn't episode 5 not see this?

Loyal follower of Telltale here.

:update: I loaded that save and chose to play to episode 4 and it took me back to what appears the last save point. When I let the credits roll and they end. I press play and now the save say episode 4, but all of my episodes 1-5 show that they are coming soon, even though I have all of them downloaded. I exit the game, then restart and I get the same junk as I stated previously in this post

I had the same problem with episode 5. I tried to fix it myself since TellTale wasn't doing anything but I gave up and decided to start over from episode 1.
I also had only one save that always remained at episode 1 even though it took me to the last save point of episode 2. But when I went to do episode 3 it wouldnt recognize that I finished episode 2, instead I had to finish the last part of it again. However when the credits finished rolling all episodes said coming soon. Please Tell Tale help me. I am a big fan of this game but all the technical difficulties and frustration I had to go through to play this game are really taking away from the enjoyment. Please help. I really want to play episode 5. I bought it through TellTale, not Steam. I also have a macbook pro.

For what it's worth this problem is hounding me too and I'd really like to get a solution.

I click "continue" on my only save file, and it makes me replay from the last check point of episode 4. That's not too big of a deal, but after I re-beat episode 4, when it comes time to play 5, it simply says "coming soon". If I restart the game/my computer, it goes back to acting like I never beat episode 4 again.

I noticed something else. If I load my file that says episode one even though I'm at the end of episode 2, and instead of finishing it I go back to the main menu, the save file changes to episode 2 but when i click to play it says that all episodes after episode 1 are coming soon. So i think the problem is the game not remembering I bought the other episodes once I go back to the main menu after loading a file.

I'm getting the same problem. No error popups or anything. I played all the way through episode 4, then let the credits run, and exited out of the game when the main menu appeared. I reopened my game a few hours later to start the much anticipated episode 5, only to find out that for whatever reason I had to re-play the last 10-15mins of episode 4. I thought it was just a random glitch so I went ahead and played to the end of the credits of ep4, then immediately played ep5. All was well, played for about an hour (i noticed multiple auto-save points were reached) and stopped. Went back to play later and it didn't remember any of my ep5 stuff. I had to go back and play the last 15mins of Ep4 AGAIN!

Again, I played some of ep5 over, closed out of the game. I launched it today and YET AGAIN the same stuff happened. Basically, if I want to play Ep5, I either have to have it randomized (which is retarded because i spent hours getting to where I am and making the decisions I made) or I have to play the last 15mins of Ep4 and then play Ep5 all the way through to the end in 1 sitting. Seems ridiculous to me.

PLEASE FIX THIS IT'S SUPER ANNOYING. I'm probably going to uninstall TWD in favor of FarCry 3.
