All My Walking Dead Files Deleted

I was playing the walking dead, and i had just finished episode 3, as i started to play episode 4 my game crashed i waited until my steam synch had completed went back in and i had no save files what so ever i have q this on steam bulletins as well as i m far upset as i have lost 3 save files with far different choices between them

    Please navigate to your save directory (Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead), right click your prefs.prop file and try to revert it back to a previous version. If this option is not available, then please search your computer for any additional prefs.prop files. You should only have one copy of this file in your save game directory. If you find another copy elsewhere, this needs to be removed. Usually this duplicate file can be found in either a Gamedata folder adjacent to your save directory, or in your installation folder. If you remove this file, but still experience the issue, then it's possible the duplicate file is being recognized instead of the prefs in your save directory. Please take the duplicate file and move it into your save folder (which will overwrite the existing file). You may want to back-up both of these files before attempting this process, just in case.

    Unfortunately, if this does not resolve the issue, then your saves are most likely unrecoverable.
