Just want to completly restart

i had the black screen on episode 3 problem were the mouse could be moved no loading screen appeared and a constant background music played. I tried verifying my game cache and that didn't work. Surprisingly there is no help for this problem in the many posts iv red the only solution seems to be a complete re-instillation. i love this game and wont mind playing it again but iv re-installed it 3 times now and all my saves are still there and the 3rd episode still doesn't work. I deleted local content, deleted the telltale file with all the saves , and deleted the walking dead folder in the steam apps/common folder. please can someone tell me what i did wrong i just want to wipe this game of my computer and then start from scratch and hope episode 3 works.

    In your documents or My Documents folder, there will be a telltale games folder which will contain a Walking Dead folder with some part of your saves in them. I say part, because the way to fix your original issue is to locate the prefs.prof file in this folder, and the same file in your steam folder, and copy one over to the other, check to see if that works, and then put the other file in both locations instead if it didn't work.

    So the way to delete all your saves and reinstall should be to delete this Walking Dead folder and remove all local content of The Walking Dead at the same time.
