Mac: Savegame in Cloud corrupt - cant get beyond Episode 1

Hi there,

Im having the full Mac version. Played it through until getting to episode 3, then exited. Game hung several minutes, I needed to force-quit.

The saved game is corrupted since then, when choosing it, press play, I get a black screen - not the 'Loading .... ' screen, simply nothing.

The bad thing about that is now: I started all over from Episode 1, but I'm getting always the 'Blackscreen' when I'm at the end and could get to Episode 2.

STrange is, that theres always the 'rewind' dialog shown, when I want to play epsiode 2, no matter whether there should be a totally fresh epsiode 2 or not.

That sucks! I can play only epsiode 1 - thats it. No further progress possible.

I found out, that when I skip episode 2, 3 + 4 I can at least play episode 5..... that means I can't access 3/5 of this 25 € game and it seems not possible to reset the saved games in depth (I deleted everything from game menu - but still every new run hangs latest at the end of episode 1 when skipping to episode 2 - although this worked the first time without any problem! No alwasy the 'rewind' Dialog is shown.... ). Didn't find anything on my hd under ApplicationSupport/ which seemed promising....

Does anyone know how to completely drop every preferences and saved games for TWD? So that I might be able to simply start from scratch?

First you need to disable steam cloud for TWD, because it always restores your corrupt settings.

Then deleting or renaming the savegame folder will remove most of the games data (preferences and savegames).
~/Library/Application Support/Telltale Games/TheWalkingDead/



If that doesn't help, you can also try running the game on a new Mac OS user account.
