To get the Title Update that was released this past weekend, you will need an xbox live account. You can register for a free xbox live (formerly silver) account at any time through your console, and use this account to download title updates. Downloading a title update through a different account than the one you use to play your game will not have an effect on your game saves, and will still be installed when you switch back to your offline account.

If you are unable to go online with your xbox console, then there is no other way to get this Title Update.

I too do not have Xbox live and bought this game for the same exact reason. Upon reading a lot of these threads and posts it sounds to me as if the people without Xbox live are flat out screwed. If a download from online is the only way of fixing these bugs what the Ef are the people like myself supposed to do????? Please let me know because this game is basically rendered useless unless u don't mind sitting here mashing buttons on a screen that u can't even tell what's going on. Honest question. Have u guys at telltale even tried playing this disc? Go spend some of your own money on it and go home and see how it feels to throw 30 bucks away on something like a whoooooooole lot f other people have.

So basically what I am being told is that I have thrown my money away and it's my fault for not having the Internet at a house I just moved into.. How about this. Telltale made this game, and I paid for a game that should work completely fine with or without the Internet and I now truly believe its up to u people to make this right because it is wrong to even sell this piece of crap game in the state it is in. I can't stress how much I am against telltale games right now.

are you kidding me???? if we dont have live, we need another option!!!! give us a refund or something, we cant just sit around with a broken, unplayable game!!!!

How do you not have internet yet your able to get online and complain about not being able to play the game? However, I do agree that the game should have been updated before being burned to the disc so it would be playable online or off.

Speaking for myself, I'm using my parents connection. I *might* be able to get on Xbox Live but it will be complicated. I have a nonwireless Xbox, and the last time I asked about using their internet to connect to Xbox Live to download some free dlc that came with a game, they didn't have the cable to run from the computer upstairs to the tv downstairs.

Anyway, lag and minor glitches are one thing, but I think a game should be at least playable right out of the box. Telltale should offer a replacement disc for people who want to send theirs in.

If you want refund go and return in from the place you bought it ! Amazon accepts refunds for this game as an example

If I remember correctly only about 1/2 of the current generation of consoles shipped ever make it online (probably PS3s weigh this down a bit since many of them were intended to be standalone Bluray players).

I know from looking at statistics of games that my company ships... often less than 50% of shipped game units ever get used online unless the game is very multiplayer-centric.

I believe many parents do not want their children using their video game consoles online (primarily because the online gaming environment is awash with idiots, trolls, etc). PC internet usage can be better policed by parents. Also most of the early X360's only had a ethernet port and networking them was inconvenient for the average household.

The moral is that any game publisher who sends out a disc cannot expect to use digital patches to address game flaws.
