Game doesn't work

I bought the walking dead game from best buy yesterday. Get home to play it and i can only get to the main screen that says "Walking Dead- Press Start". Press start and nothing happens. Figured it was the game so i went and switched it out today and the same stupid Press start page wont work. Downloaded the free demo from the playstation store and still can't get past the Press Start page. The fuck is going on?

    Is your controller set as controller number 1? Some games are picky like that, try making sure there are no other controllers connected.

    Thanks for your help! there was a tiny usb plugged in for my cabela's hunting game that was set as controller 1. That's why it wasn't working.
