How the fuck this got voted GOTY ?

Just got my copy from Amazon disc went into my xbox (Xbox 360 Slim 4GB with 120GB HDD), downloaded update started playing and bam. Thats it game FUCKING OVER ! Crap is stuttering like a motherfucker ! Screen tear, frame-rate drops and from there everything went so bad I could count how many of em are getting rendered on my screen by hardware !

Did anybody @ Telltale ever heard about term quality assurance  After duplication process in factory you take a fucking sample and test it, in this case you put it into your xbox and play/ check if it works, and im pretty sure as a developer studio they have plenty of em in various configurations aka dev kits / retail boxes etc. Sorry for my language but I'm pretty pissed because now I have to go thru all the process of returning it to Amazon and getting my $30 back ! Oh why but wait for the patch, no thanks I wont ! Sorry but back in a days games were sold in working conditions now its just basic rule to get it fast as possible around Holidays season and then patch it if studio funds will allow it.... I'm done got it of my chest Telltale studios I'm disappointed that game of the year is being sold in non working condition as out of the box, I could compare you to Konami and their HD remakes of Silent Hill... which are basically a pile of non working shit

I was wondering the same thing. What is worse is I shelled out over 70 bucks for the collectors edition for my son. I can't believe that a game can be released in that condition. Its not even close to playable. I tried to get past the stuttering at first and continue to play past it but there is one part when trying to rescue Glenn from the Motel that its completely unplayable and I cannot go any further.

How on earth can they justify not knowing that this was an issue.

I will never buy a telltale game again if they can not fix this issue. I got the game today from my wife for Christmas. I can not get past the motel scene in episode 2. It glitches so badly I never have a chance to aim for one of the Zombies with the screw driver.

Do they not test these games in systems before they are released? I have Xbox Model 1439 with 4 GB.

Its just the 4gb xboxes that are experiencing this problem. Hopefully it will get fixed soon. Can't imagine telltale will let this problem go on for much longer.

I hope they offer replacement discs for those who want to send them in. Some of us have trouble getting on Xbox Live. It sucks because I NEVER get three days off in a row and I was looking forward to playing this on Christmas. From the episode and a half that I got to play, I really liked it. But that's where it began starting over so I lost all my progress.

I have the same issue with the saves on the game. What I do to work around this is copy my saved file onto another slot. Then when I load up one of them and it starts from the beginning, I exit the game and re copy the file and keep doing this over till I get started on the episode I want. It only takes about 4-5 tries.

But it's not just the 4GB systems that are experiencing some serious save problems.

The 250 GB ones are affected, too.

Yeah it seems everyone is facing the save problem, but I have my work around for it until it gets fixed.

The main thing that I see with complaints is that the disc does not work on the 4gb xboxes while every other xbox can play the game.

When you do that does it start from the point you saved last? I can get it to start on the episode I was on just by exiting, reloading, exiting, reloading a couple times, but it starts over from the beginning of the chapter and I was more than halfway through it when I saved.

Yeah by doing it this way your save will start up from right where you left off.

For example, You are 10 minutes into episode 4 and you exit the game. When you try and load the save file up, just copy the file from one slot onto another, so you will end up with two of the same saved files. Now load one of them up and it will most likely start from episode 1 again. Just go to the main menu and
re copy the saved file from episode 4 onto the second slot again and keep repeating these steps until the file for episode 4 starts up. It only takes about 4-5 tries for it to work. This will start up from exactly the last save point.

I know this is an annoying way to play the game, but at least its something until this problem gets fixed.

Thanks! I'll try that. And yeah that does sound annoying but at least it will let me play the game until they fix it.
