Saved file went from episode 4 back to episode 1!!

Finished playing episode 3 last night and was hoping to play episode 4 tonight. As I tried to load the file up, it just sent me back to episode 1.

Whats up with this?

Do I have to start from the beginning again?

    Ok, for some reason I can play it now, but the choices that I made are different now.

    For a game that got game of the year it really has major problems that takes the enjoyment out the game!!
