i bought it and it doesn't work

I tried to run episode i but half the picture is missing and it stop jumps every second the mouse will not stay under control it is a total mess. Do i have an inadequate system? I restarted i just am lost.
I have windows xp 2002 and the direx downloaded.

You didn't specify which game you are talking about.
Assuming you are trying to run The Walking Dead, your system does not meet the minimum requirements.
You only have 1GB Memory, and your graphics card has only 256MB VRAM and is rather low tech.

Also your drivers are horribly old.

The graphics chip is probably the worst offender, considering the missing display elements and slow performance.
